Bespoke SoutherlyTM Size Charts and Fit Guide

All measurements are in inches and are approximate. Our cocktail and party dresses typically fit close to the body, particularly strapless versions, so certain styles may vary slightly from these exact measurements due to intended fit.  For your reference, these size measurements are the same as many other special occasion dress designers found in major department stores. Our fit model has fit for major brands for years. If you are unsure what size will fit best, or want to inquire about a size you don’t see listed, please don’t hesitate to contact us for help at customerservice@bespokesoutherly.com.

Hem Length: For hem length, we provide measurements of the standard length of the dress style for reference.  For all styles, you can choose the length that is your preference based on your height in one inch increments by choosing a “Custom Length” and entering the number of total inches from the high point of your shoulder to where you want the dress to fall.

How to take your measurements:  We recommend measuring yourself in your underwear, and if possible, the bra you will be wearing with the dress. Dresses that come with interior corsets can be worn without a bra.  It's much more accurate if your measurements are taken by someone else - so enjoy!

Bust: This is actually an over bust measurement so measure around the fullest part of your bust. Please note this is not the measurement used for numeric bra sizing.

Waist: Measure around your natural waistline – the smallest part of your waist. Keep your measuring tape comfortable, not too tight. If you are unsure where your natural waist falls, just bend to one side. There will typically be a crease where you bend, often just below your rib cage. This is where your waist measurement should be taken.

Low/Full Hips: Measure 9 inches below your waistline at the fullest part of your hips with your heels together.

Dress length: Stand with your heels together, keeping the tape straight and perpendicular to the floor and measure from your high shoulder point (right where your neck curve ends and your shoulder begins). You can also get an accurate measurement by measuring from the hollow of your neck.
